It has been known that protein – protein interactions are crucial for biological functions. Generally, a protein interacts with 3 to 8 other protein molecules. It has become important to in silico predict the interfaces between protein – protein molecules. In their recent research article Northey T.C.(2018) et. al. have explored the use of a structural predictor (based on structural information of protein) to predict protein interaction interfaces and compared it to other widely used methods
They have also analyzed the performance of IntPred and found that their IntPred ranks second in comparison to other six methods being used to predict interfaces. The software has been made in Perl and can be freely obtained from www.bioinf.org.uk/intpred/
