Sesamum indicum is an oilseed crop and is widely cultivated in Asia, Africa and south America.(Ashri A.1998 and Bawa A.S.et al. 2010 ). The genome size of Sesamum is 354 MB.37% of the genome consists of repeat elements.The genome consists of approximately 24000 genes.
