Biomedical literature search leading to discovery of potential disease genes: DTMiner

A lot of research is going into searching for potential disease gene targets by searching biomedical literature. So far the field is limited because of extent of datasets and its accuracy. But getting a clue from existing literature is going to be of great importance in finding disease genes.

In their present study Xu Dong et al.(2016) have made a frame work which takes into account large biomedical literature as well as identifies a relationship between genes and disease. They have taken into account name entity recognition which gives an F1 score which gives them accuracy.
